The Shift initiative is a powerful movement gaining steam in the Indianapolis area. Led by Director Scott Fussel it was formed in response to the staggering surge of mental health crises – especially the epidemic of suicide among teens and adolescents. What is going on in the society where we learn that the second leading cause of death in America among all between 10 and 34 for suicide! Shift is among the responses gaining steam across the country to change the focus from response to prevention. I performed my show there last night and am more motivated than ever to make this my mission using standup and my training as a therapist.
